Expedia– Great for when booking.com doesn’t have what you want.
Agoda– This is the booking site we used to travel all over Thailand, it has much more choice for Asia than booking.com.
Airbnb– Good for home away from home accomodation like having a kitchen and cheaper than hotels for long term travel. Please use Airbnb responsibly!
VRBO– Similar to Airbnb.
Hostelworld– Good cheap accommodation and the best way to meet fellow travellers.
Trusted Housesitters– The best way to get free accommodation around the world, usually you will be expected to pet sit in exchange for accommodation but that is fine with us. Use our link to get money off all new memberships.
Trivago– A good comparison website for hotels, similar to Expedia but usually cheaper.
How We Search for Flights
Skyscanner– our go to for finding flights we want at great prices.
Kiwi– Great for cheap flights use the nomad option if you don’t care where you go.
Expedia– Good if you need to book proof of onward travel as they send it right after booking.
CheapOAir– Great for finding budget flights.
Jacks Flight Club– A fantastic resource for UK travellers who are looking to score cheap flights around the world, upgrade to premium for the best deals.
Going– Formerly known as Scotts cheap flights this is the same as Jacks flight club but for US travellers, again sign up for premium to get all the best deals.
Transport and Car Hire
Trainline– Our go to for finding trains around the UK
Megabus– For all your coach travel needs around the UK, coaches are usually much cheaper than trains
Discover Cars– The best place to search for car rentals in any country
Holiday Taxis– If you don’t want to drive or figure out public transport book your transfers in advance
Uber– I’m sure everyone knows what Uber is but if not it’s like a taxi but much cheaper. Download the app. Get the app here.

Rome2Rio– The best resource for planning how to get to places.
Travel Gear We Love
Osprey Farpoint backpack– We both use these as our handluggage either with or without a suitcase. The 40L is perfect for up to a months worth of clothes plus electronics.
Packing cubes– Absolute life savers when it comes to travelling with hand luggage only.
Sony Mirrorless Camera– I use the A7 which is unavailable now as there are much newer models but they are honestly the best mirrorless cameras you can buy.
Universal Travel Adapter– Boring but functional we use this all around the world including in St Kitts when we need to go between our 110v and 220v sockets.
TP-Link portable wifi router– We use this daily as a wifi booster in our house and when we travel we use it to amplify wifi or mobile data so we can use the internet on all our devices.
Apeman M4 portable projector– We use this whenever we are travelling to watch movies. The picture is so clear and bright.
Hydroflask– We both have one of these and we use them daily, they are great at keeping drinks cold all day.
Reusable Bamboo Cutlery– Part of our Zero Waste Travel kit, we are always trying to cut down on plastic when we travel and these are small and compact but make a huge difference.
