Have a Spa Day for Couples
If you are looking for a romantic couples activity in the Cotswolds then head to the town of Bath and have a luxury spa day for two. There are no shortage of luxury hotels that offer spa treatments but if you want to bathe in a natural thermal spring, then head to Thermae Bath Spa and soak in the mineral water full of healing properties. Thermae allows guests to bathe in the same water as the historic Roman Baths for which the town is named.
Pick your own fruit
Fruit picking is one of our favourite activities as a couple and a cute date idea in the Cotswolds, we especially love strawberry season and the best part is wandering the fruit fields together and sampling the goods as you go. If you are visiting the Cotswolds during the autumn, then you can pick a pumpkin instead.
Stroll through the Lavender Fields
The Cotswolds lavender fields are one of the most beautiful outdoor places in the Cotswolds. Spend an hour wandering the fields of relaxing lavender and take some instagrammable pictures with your partner. Bring a picnic and enjoy the views and buy one of the lovely lavender products made on site using one of the 70 varieties of lavender which have been growing for over 20 years.

Create your own Signature Gin
One of the most unique things to do in the Cotswolds for couples is create your own gin at Brennen and Brown Distillery. Couples can experiment with flavours and concoct an amazing drink that perfectly sums them up and take it home as a souvenir of their Cotswolds trip. Get your science on in the quirky gin lab and fire up some romance, once you have selected your signature couples drink you can enjoy a tour of the facilities while your final product is being made by the experts.
Watch the Sunset from Broadway Tower
A great date idea in the Cotswolds is a visit to Broadway Tower. Broadway Tower is the highest point in the Cotswolds and is the highest Cotswolds castle with views over 16 counties. Learn all about the history of the tower and it’s uses over the years, wander the park and see the resident herd of red deer. There is also a café on site to visit for a drink and a tasty snack and a gift shop where you can pick up local produce and hand crafted goods. What better way for couples to end their day than to climb the tower together and watch the sunset.
Explore the Prettiest Cotswolds Villages
The Cotswolds have no shortage of picturesque villages to explore, some are literally a street or two and can be explored in a short time and others have lots of little boutique shops and cafes to stop in and enjoy. Our favourites are Bibury, The Slaughters and Tetbury. Look out for hidden streams and cute gated sitting areas in the villages to catch a hidden moment together.

Have Afternoon Tea
Is there anything more English than afternoon tea? I don’t think so and to have afternoon tea with your partner is the ultimate romantic thing to do in the Cotswolds. Head to one of the many cafes and small restaurants in the beautiful Cotswolds villages and indulge in some mini cakes, sandwiches and either a lovely cup of tea or a glass of prosecco.
Walk The Cotswold Way
The Cotswold way is a trail that stretches 102 miles along the Cotswolds escarpment from the village of Chipping Campden all the way to the historic town of Bath. There are many different routes you can take along the way from short circular walks to longer day treks. Have a couples stroll along part of the trail and enjoy some magnificent views of woodlands, villages and rolling hills.
Visit the Roman Baths in Bath
One of the oldest attractions in Britain at over 2000 years old, the roman baths are incredible. Couples will enjoy exploring the extensive ruins of the baths and chatting with the costumed actors about day-to-day life in Roman Britain. Spend a couple of hours marvelling at the artifacts on display at the interactive on-site museum. Although you can no longer go into the water of the baths it is still one of the most wonderful things to do in the Cotswolds.

If you’re anything like us, you love cheese so what better thing for couples to do than go cheese and wine tasting! The English countryside is the best location for a cheese and wine tasting tour where you can sample some local favourites like Stinking Bishop, Double Gloucester or Windrush Valley goat’s cheese. As for wine tasting head to one of the 10 local vineyards in the area. Three Choirs Vineyard even do a couples special with wine tasting and an overnight stay. If you’re lucky you may even be in the Cotswolds at the right time to witness the world-famous cheese rolling event in Gloucester.
Take a Cotswolds Road Trip
The area of the Cotswolds is perfect for a couples road trip, rent a car and explore the tiny villages and hidden corners of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, create a Cotswolds road trip itinerary that is easy to follow. You could either start from the south in Bath and drive the winding country roads up to Chipping Campden following a similar route to the Cotswolds Way, or start in the northern Cotswolds and head south to Bath.

Take advantage of the cosy fireplaces in the rustic country surroundings to warm up and snuggle up with your loved one on a cute date. Maybe enjoy some traditional fish and chips or a Sunday roast and have a pint or two real ale to wash down your meal.

Chipping Campden and Broadway Highstreets have both held this accolade, so which one you should visit on your next trip to the area? Both streets are lined with charming boutiques, quaint restaurants and lovely honey-coloured buildings that are the hallmark of a Cotswolds village.
As well as being beautiful to look at, these high streets are also great places to spend some time together, take in all the sights and sounds while shopping for souvenirs or grabbing a bite to eat. Have a Romantic Picnic at Cleeve Hill
Cleeve Hill is the highest point of the Cotswolds hill range and it is sometimes known as Cleeve cloud because it can feel like you are so high up you are sitting in the sky. It’s a moderate circular walk to the top and back with a distance of 4.6 miles and taking around 2-3 hours total, so it is the perfect thing for couples to do in the Cotswolds on a sunny afternoon. Pack up a blanket, some tasty snacks and a few beers or a bottle of your favourite wine to share and start the gentle climb to the top of Cleeve Hill for a lovely picnic and take in the wonderful views over Cheltenham and into Wales.
Wander Britain’s Longest Tree Lined Avenue in Cirencester Park
Whatever time of year you visit Cirencester park is beautiful, the main walkway called The Broad Ride, is lined with horse chestnut trees is the standout attractions for couples to wander down hand in hand and admire the stunning views.
Cirencester Park is part of the Bathhurst estate and is free to visit, it is open daily from 8am-5pm and couples can wander freely around the grounds. The estate has had various uses over the years from the original deer park in the 1700s, it was commandeered as a military base during the first and second world wars. The deer broke free of their enclosure during this period and still roam freely around the park today.
You can also visit the Bathhurst mansion for a guided tour on select days throughout the year.
